Indonesia records 1.87 pct year-on-year inflation in June

JAKARTA, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia recorded a year-on-year inflation rate of 1.87 percent in June, according to data released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) on Tuesday.

On a month-to-month basis, inflation stood at 0.19 percent, with the Consumer Price Index increasing from 108.07 in May to 108.27 in June.

"The monthly inflation rate in June was 0.19 percent," said BPS Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics Pudji Ismartini in Jakarta. She noted that the inflation data was based on monitoring conducted in 150 districts and cities across the country.
